yes i voted, and ofcourse i voted for Obama.... but here is my concern.... now that we indeed have a black president, how will the black community act.... will african americans still be held to the same regard as always? are black men and women going to stand up and actually do something for themselves, instead of holding on to the crutch that the world is out the get them? Obama has proven quite the contrary... so here are two things that im looking forward to in this presidency, how will the black community react to this? and what is obama going to do first?
my opinion, he should start first with his investing in alternative energy.... go to the middle of the us... (dakotas...etc...) and use alot of that land for solar energy, and get jobs and stuff rolling... in turn helping the damn economy.... i'm sitting on land that is depreciating everytime i take a damn breath... i would likte to build some sort of equity dammit all... lol
Amazing of NO?? Nos a hasi un informal sample survey den weekend pa wak kwantu sign tin riba hendenan nan lawn - Obama vs. McCain. E tabata basta close den sierto bario - pero overall Barak a sali ariba. Plus, e biaha aki HOPI mas african americans a turnout den Center City areas pa vote. Normaal esey no ta e kaso. Tambe ta hopi "frapant" kon sierto hende tabata gewoon bisami "I am moving to Canada if they elect a Black President"... ban waak si nan tin guts to do so...
Us, Yunan di Korsou and Curacao Americans, experienced another Historic day in American History --- First African American running for US President!
I was (unfortunately) here for Sept 11, 2001 and its aftermath...which as immigrant I still can feel the aftertaste. Let's see if change is coming and that these " shete aña di baka flaku" are over.....
Well, after tonight it looks more and more that it will be a Obama vs. McCain vote in the fall - I certainly hope so at least because I really cannot stand Clinton, either of them. Unfortunately for Obama the Republicans will turn on their Media Machine and BLAST him for his inexperience...
Personally I would have gone with a republican, but there is none there. Did you say 'McCain?', who is that? Is he in the race? hahahahahahahhah,
So with that said I would go with Obama, not because he is black, (well maybe a little yeah) but because he is the only candidate worth voting for.
Not one of the candidates are talking about what their plans are to help this country get out of the $43 Trillion dollars debt that it has. Ohh and yeah, what is going on with Social Security? Will it still be in existence 15-20 years from now?
Things that makes you go, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Given the choices we have I would vote for Obama. Clinton is way too confrontational and I do not like her true arrogant style.
In the republican party there really is no viable choice in my opinion. McCain is too old and does not have the necessary public personality to lead and hold credibility
